In 2018, the OECD has started an initiative to collect data from competition authorities around the world with the aim to inform policy makers on trends in competition enforcement. This unique database currently includes 73 jurisdictions and comprises data on agencies’ resources, enforcement activity and information on advocacy initiatives. While many of such data are already publicly available, this information is often dispersed, lacks consistency across time and jurisdictions, and is currently not used systematically to identify overall trends from which to draw policy lessons. This OECD initiative is intended to fill this gap.

The OECD initiative includes an annual publication (OECD Competition Trends), which presents unique insights into global competition trends and will see its third addition in February 2022. This annual report does not reveal data on individual countries. All analyses are conducted on an aggregate level, using different groupings, including for instance geographic regions, OECD/non-OECD, GDP/capita or population size.

The survey consists of 5 parts. Data should be provided for the calendar years 2015-2020 (1st January-31st December). If calendar year data is not available, data can be provided for the fiscal year).
All amounts can be provided in local currency.
Written comments are also welcome in the dedicated sections (at the bottom of every page).

Please complete the survey before or by 12 December 2021.

This survey is available in English and French.
